Summary:
The time limit of the antidote is quickly running out, but both Sakura and Chiyo are pinned down by Sasori’s combination of fire and water jets. Sasori then makes a bold move and uses his rope harpoon as an anchor from which to launch himself at Chiyo. But before his claws can reach her, Sakura grabs the rope and yanks him back towards herself. With one punch, she shatters Sasori’s body into several pieces. However, Sasori pulls his body back together as if nothing happened. Chiyo resorts to her trump card and summons the ten puppets of Monzaemon Chikamatsu. Sasori counters by summoning 100 of his own puppets and uses a bundle of chakra threads generated from his chest to control them. Although Sakura and Chiyo’s puppets initially manage to beat back Sasori’s horde, their overwhelming numbers turn the tide and Chiyo is eventually injured. She tells Sakura to charge towards Sasori and provides her with a special orb to use on him. Sakura gets within range and throws the orb at Sasori. It morphs into a beast head and pins Sasori to the wall, sealing away all his chakra. But it was not over yet. Sasori had switched out of his body at the last moment and appears behind Chiyo. Sakura rushes back to save Chiyo and receives a fatal injury from Sasori’s sword. |
