| Naruto 10yrs later?
…..Team 8

Team 8 as promised. Some of you
might like the Hinata one, some might not, but I don’t care.
She
deserves what I wrote down for her. There is a saying, “Everything has to perish sometime, there‘s no escaping it”. That has been proven time and time again in the Naruverse, with he countless deaths. One of those deaths was the third Hokage, a student of the first Hokage and second Hokage. The remaining two students are the elders of Konoha, or should I say were. Though to old age, the Third’s colleagues seized to exist. Though to this event the village of Konoha needed two advisors for the Hokage, which at the time was Kakashi. After much deliberation, Kakashi found exactly who would be good for the jobs. (whether the Hokage picks them out, or the people choose I don’t know) One of those was the previous team 8 jonin sensei, Kurenai Yuhi. Kurenai rejected the offer, do to the fact that she retired from ‘active duty’ a couple of years after Asuma’s death. She stated that “she doesn’t want to live ‘that’ life anymore, not without ’him’ there with her”. After many failed attempts to convince her, Kakashi began to lose hope. It wasn’t until her son, what-even-his-name-is-going-to-be, Konohamaru, and her students Kiba, Shino, and Hinata, went to talk to her that she began to change her mind. She went to the memorial stone, to think things over, there she saw a familiar pointy-tailed figure. “So I‘m guessing you…..”, “yeah, I heard, but that‘s not why I‘m here” Shikamaru interrupted. “I‘m here for the same reason you are, to pay my respects to Asuma.” Kurenai was relieved, finally someone who isn’t trying to persuade her. After, a minute of silence and wind blowing in there faces, Shikamaru placed a cigarette on the stone, “One thing I admire of Asuma, is the fact that never thought of himself, always of others”, turned and headed off. As he passed by Kurenai, he uttered “Just do what YOU think is right.” Thinking about what Shikamaru just said, Kurenai realized that she was being selfish. She looked at the cigarette, “Did he plan this”, thinking of what just happened. She looked back, but Shikamaru was gone, smiled and went to Kakashi to make her decision. Along with Iruka, Kurenai became the villages’ elder/advisor. Kiba Inuzuka and Shino Aburame Along with everyone of their friend, that’s counting the ones outside of their team, Kiba and Shino are know Jonins, and the best of friends. Together they are known as the best trackers of all Konoha. Going as far as to being called the ‘Tracking Beasts’, do to the fact that they both use animals. Nobody was able to escape this awesome duo, or should I say trio with Akaimaru. After the loss of Sasuke, Kiba bowed that he will personally see to it that Konoha never loses a member of their village. Shino enlisted to help him, seeing it as a possibility to expand his abilities. Together they apprehended every person assigned to them, making them 100% effective. This led them to surpass mostly anyone in ANBU, and becoming Naruto’s own personal Search and Rescue team. However, don’t underestimate these two. Just because they specialize in S&R, doesn’t mean they can’t kick some ass. After years of training, these two are a force to be reckoned with, just by themselves. That makes them even more of a threat to their enemies, and a great asset to Konoha. An example of this can be seen in the many missions they undertook as a team. Especially a certain mission with their old teammate, Hinata. (see The Mission, below for details). They even developed some new jutsus of their own, some that combine each others jutsus to create many ‘combo-jutsus’. Hinata Hyuga Under the training of Neji, Hinata has grown into a strong, mature and beautiful woman. She has even gained the respect of her father, Hiashi. She’s not even as shy as she used to be, except in a certain area, that involves a certain person. You would think that after many years of loving Naruto, she would tell him how she feels. But she either can’t find the right time to, or when she does, something comes up that prevents her to. She would end up getting her chance, when a certain incident happened (again see The Mission below). Upon knowing how Hinata really felt, Naruto and her started a relationship. They would often go to missions together, along with the ‘Tracking Beasts’. They all quickly became the best of friends, so much that Naruto, Kiba and Shino became close to brothers, they even offered to be Naruto’s best men when the ‘time’ came. But Hinata’s and Naruto’s relationship came to a bad times, when Hiashi passed away and a Hinata had to take on the role as head of the Hyuga. Hinata did her best to be a leader of her race, but she couldn’t stop thinking about Naruto. After several months Hinata noticed she was gaining weight. She thought it was stress, and all the food she would eat. Turned out she was pregnant, with Naruto’s child. “What should I do?” “I can‘t have a child and run the Family, all at once”. She went to the only person she can trust in a situation like this, Kurenai. Kurenai gave her two-cents, and Hinata went home to think. The next day, Hinata had a big family meeting to discuss ‘certain’ matters about the future of the Hyuga. In this meeting, she discussed the termination of the whole main/branch families, stating that from now on the Hyuga will be one Family. This shocked the Hyuga, but not as much as the next thing Hinata had in store for them. “And, as of right now, I‘m stepping down as head of the Hyuga, to leave a different life.” “NANI?!?!” all the Hyuga said in unison. The greatest shock was who would take her place. Before she left the Hyuga, to pursue her new life, she
hugged the
new head of the family. “Take care of them” The
head replied “Don‘t
worry, I will. You go and find your happiness.” And with that
Hinata
went to find Naruto. Short after that, Naruto and Hinata got married,
and went on a honeymoon. When they returned they heared the news of
Naruto’s promotion, and the reason why. Soon after, Hinata
gave birth
to twins, Kakashi and Jiraiya. The Mission - Kiba and Shino: In the “Great Ambush of Konoha War”, (which lasted about 5yrs) the ’Tracking Beasts’, along with Naruto and Hinata, were assigned to track two groups of Jonins, one who made an attempt on Kakashi’s life during the early days of the war, the other were gathering intel on Konoha. As they pursued the enemy, Kiba’s nose noticed a split in the smell they were tracking, so they split into two teams. Shino and Kiba hugged Hinata, Shino places a ‘female’ on Hinata, to track hers and Naruto’s whereabouts, after that they were off. Once they reached their targets, Kiba and Shino hid in the trees and came up with a game plan. Shino started to slowly scatter his bugs all over the place, once that was done ’Kiba’ and ’Shino’ emerged from the tree, and continued pursuit and ’Akaimaru’ followed a few minutes after. Once in range of the enemy, ’Shino’ threw a kunai ahead to get the attention of the enemy. “Shit, they caught up.” said one, “what do we do?” asked another, “We have to fight, they can‘t know where our base is.” explained the tallest one. All five turned to see who they were up against, and were surprised at what they saw. “HA HA HA, Two kids, that’s the best your Hokage can do?” “Don‘t underestimate the opponent, there could be more.” “No, this is pretty much it, the others went after your pals” exclaimed ‘Shino‘, “So, it‘s just us two.” “Are you serious, you kids think you can take us on?” one of he Jonins laughed, “This shouldn’t take long, let’s go.” The Jonins threw out some attacks, but ‘Kiba’ and ‘Shino’ quickly dodge them. ‘Kiba’ used gatsuga all around the enemy team, and intentionally missed all of his attacks. While the enemy was distracted, ‘Shino’ used more kunai weapons and missed himself. This continued for a while, until finally both ‘Shino’ and ‘Kiba’ grew ‘tired’. To confident to notice anything, the Jonins forgot about ‘Akaimaru’, who was creeping up behind them. ‘Akaimaru’ leaps out and attacked, but his attack was disrupted by a sixth Jonins’ kunai stab, causing ‘Akaimaru’ to lay lifeless on the ground. The two senior jonins of the bunch noticed that ‘Kiba’ didn’t make big deal about the ‘death’ of his pet, at this time ‘Shino’ just finished a hand seal sequence. “WATCH OUT, IT‘S A TRAP!!!”, yelled one as they both jumped out of the way. It was to late, the rest of his team were already consumed by bugs. What seemed to be a dead Akaimaru, was actually a bug clone, and started to separate and trap the Jonins as soon as they gave no attention to it. After all who would care about the dead guy? Having the bugs on their heels, the Jonins strategically went after ‘Shino’, to stop the bugs. However, ‘Kiba’ was in their way, what to do? They separated, one went after ‘Shino’, and the other after ‘Kiba’. The one after ‘Shino’ shoot a lightning -based jutsu towards him, but ‘Kiba’ jumped in front to intercept. ’Kiba’ fell hard to the floor hard, and landed with a puff of smoke. As the smoke cleared a figure that was not Kiba was revealed, Akaimaru. The Jonin tracking Shino and Kiba quickly realized what the situation was, and made an attacked towards ‘Shino’, or should I say Kiba. But was stopped by the scream of his last teammate, as he turned he saw nothing but bugs all around the place, it was over. To concerned with Kiba, the two last Jonins made themselves open to an attack from the rear, that’s when the real Shino made the final move and eliminated the enemy. Here’s what happened: Knowing that the enemy had intel on the Konoha clans, Shino and Kiba decided to use henge to fool the enemy, this happened when they hid. This is also when Shino made a bug clone of Akaimaru. Shino continued to hide, since he knew there was someone after them, thank to Hinata using Byakugan, who told him when they hugged. After the Jonin tracking them passed by, Shino waited a little, then took his leave. The kunai that Kiba was using had some ‘females’ on them, like that Shino could know where to find them. Kiba and Akaimaru continued fighting until they smelled that Shino had caught up, that’s when they grew ’tired’. While Kiba and Akaimaru distracted the enemy, disguised as Shino and Kiba respectively. Shino was hiding and attacking, waiting for the right time to strike. With the enemy subdued, he ’Tracking Beasts’ decided to find Naruto and Hinata, to see if they finished their side of the mission. Shino called upon his bugs to track Hinata. When they got there, all they saw were some of Hinata’s and Naruto’s clothes ripped and bloody on the ground. Including Hinata’s sweater were the female bug was. They decided to go with plan b, Kiba’s nose. Kiba quickly caught their scent and noticed that it was slightly different, so they hurried to see what was going on. When they finally arrived to their destination, Kiba and Shino were shocked at what they had before their eyes . . . The Mission - Hinata and Naruto: As you all know, after the attempt on Kakashi’s life Hinata, was placed in a team with Naruto, along with Shino and Kiba, to eliminate the assassins. It would be this very mission that will change both of their lives, to the lives they live now. After the separation of the team, Naruto and Hinata, using Byakugan, were in hot pursuit on the team that tried to kill Kakashi, until they split up and went their own way. Naruto, being the leader of the team, quickly gave Hinata the break down on what was to be done. Naruto made Kage bushins, as Hinata told him how many opponents, and what location they each went to. The plan was a simple and effective one. Naruto made 2 bushins for every 1 shinobi they were going to face, except for the main guy, Naruto wanted him for himself. The bushins were sent to the locations Hinata stated, quickly disposed of them, and then took to Hinata, who would use gentle fist to prevent them from attacking. After this was done to all the jonins, except the leader, all but two bushins were dismissed. Hinata went to help Naruto, with the two bushins behind her (for protection). To concerned about her beloved Naruto, Hinata forgot about the two that were behind her, and talking to herself said. “I‘m on my way, my beloved one.” Hearing this bushin A replied, “Nani?”, while bushin B sped up to meet head-on with Hinata regarding what she just said. Hinata got surprised at the site of Naruto’s face in front of hers, causing her to lose balance. “I got her.” said bushin A, as he went down to catch her. Bushin B closely followed. Once Hinata realized that there were two Narutos, she realized what happened. “Oh, no, did they hear that?”, Hinata said to her self. “What? What you just said?” said bushin A, “Or, the beloved one, part?” followed bushin B. “oh my, you did hear.”, “does that mean that Naruto-kun . . . ”. “No, he doesn‘t know” said bushin A, “not, until we go poof.” insured bushin B, “so, what‘s the story?”. “We have to help Naruto.” stated Hinata,. “Don‘t try to change the subject.” - bushin A, “You could explain as we go” - bushin B. On their way to Naruto, Hinata was confessing how she felt, for the real Naruto, to the bushins. She told them everything, from when they started school, to right now. She even went as far as to reveal herself to be the girl that Naruto saw taking a bath that one night(yeah, I know it was a filler, but still, bare with me). He bushins, encouraged Hinata to tell Naruto how she felt, face to face, saying that it shouldn’t be so hard now, that she told them. Who would of thought that an assassination attempt on Kakashi, would be the opportunity she needed. Closely arriving to where Naruto was, Hinata and the bushins were witnessing a spectacular battle between Naruto, and the shinobi known as J, the strongest of the assassination-attempt team. Naruto was holding his own the entire match, but J was to strong and severely cut Naruto. That’s when Hinata, and the bushins, stepped in to help, and not a moment to soon. Hinata told the bushins to take on J, while she healed Naruto from his injuries. Bushin B reminded Hinata what would happen if they go ‘poof’, but Hinata insisted. As the two bushins went to battle, Hinata started to care for Naruto. She began by taking Naruto’s clothes off to better see the wound. Once that was done, she took her sweater off, and used it stop the bleeding. At that moment she heard a scream come out of bushin A, telling her to “WATCH OUT!!!”, but was too late, J’s attack had already reached Hinata. Hinata lost her sandals, and some of her clothing, do to the impact. Bushin B went to check on her, once he saw she was fine he told her to leave with Naruto to a safe place. Bushin B noticed the concerned look in her face, and told her not to worry. Hinata left her sweater, and told the bushins to hold J off, until Shino and Kiba arrive. The bushins responded by reminding Hinata about Naruto’s new ‘Kyubi seal’, and to be careful. Hinata nodded, and took off. Once in a safe enough area, Hinata took out her bag, and continued to care for her beloved. Once Naruto was bandaged, Hinata decided it was now or never, to tell Naruto how she felt. “N-n-Naruto, I-I . . . um . . ., I have s-something to tell y-you . . . .” She reached for his hand, and continued to speak. “I .. .. . I . . . I lo-” she was surprisingly silences with a kiss. “I already know” revealed Naruto. “I love you, . . . too” Hinata’s brief smiled face, quickly turned into one of concern. “If he knows, that means . . .” She activated Byakugan, to see if her suspicions were true, but didn’t see anything. “D-Don‘t worry, they got him.” “T-They self … dis . . miss . . . . .” At that moment Naruto fainted. Hinata looked to see if he was dead, but it turned out to be fatigue. Hinata smiles, of the irony, and deactivates Byakugan.
She graves
his arm, places it over her and kisses him once more. Moments later,
Kiba and Shino arrive, and are speechless. Kiba breaks the silence
with, “come on, Akaimaru, let’s take a walk . You
coming Shino?”
“humph, sure, why not.” SIDE-STORY: When Sakura went off the village to search for Sasuke, Naruto enlisted the help of the ‘Tracking Beasts‘ to apprehend her, along with a couple of Kage bushin of himself. The four man team was given the S-class mission of getting her back. The Naruto bushins used henge to disguise themselves, one as a girl medic-type, and the other as a typical jonin. Once that was done, they headed out. Upon arriving to the Land of River, the team decided to make a battle-plan. The Jonin-Naruto (JN) decided to take the lead, but both Shino and Kiba objected, stating that Sasuke will know something is up as soon as he spoofs away. JN and MN (Medic-Naruto) just smirked, and both said “don’t underestimate us.” “You‘ll see the fruits of Naruto‘s training.” Shino and Kiba, decided to trust the bushins, and went along with the plan. The team continued their pursuit of Sakura, and arrived to her location soon after. Sasuke sensed them immediately. “Looks like we have some company here Sakura.” “Nani? ” responded Sakura. “It can‘t be, I made sure I covered my tracks.” “Get dressed, let‘s not be rude, and greet our guest.” Sasuke and Sakura both dressed themselves, and waited outside the cabin. “What are they doing?” asked MN, “It appears that they know of our arrival.” answered Shino. “So much for a surprise attack.” - Kiba. The team, emerged from where they were hiding, and JN quickly stated why they were there. “We have orders from the Hokage, to retrieve Sakura, and take her back to Konoha.” Sasuke immediately recognized Shino and Kiba, but who were the other two, not that it mattered. Sakura sensed Naruto’s presence, and told Sasuke. With that information, Sasuke attacked JN with haste and launched him to the air, rapidly after he noticed that there was no ‘poof’ he gave his attention to MN. He attacked ‘her’, and the same result happened. Both, Shino and Kiba, were confused as to why neither ‘poofed’, and quickly went for Sakura. Sasuke interfered, and guided a Chidori towards Kiba, who was the closest. Shino provided a defense, in the form of a bug wall, while Akaimaru used gatsuga on Sasuke. The attack hit, but with no avail. Sasuke jumped to deflect a second gatsuga, this one coming from Kiba himself. JN, still in the air, made some hand signs and used a water jutsu on Sasuke. Which caught Sasuke and Sakura by surprise, “If those two aren’t Naruto, then who are they? ” Sakura thought to herself. This left her open for Shino to trap her with his bugs. “Target secured” - Shino. Using his damp body to his advantage, Sasuke stood next to Sakura, and used Chidori-Nagashi. This freed her from the bugs, allowed him to have a bunch of electricity. He then stood in front of her and shot Chidori needles towards the enemy. JN hastily did some hand seals, and mad a wind barrier around his allies. “So your wind and water?” - Sasuke. “That‘s right to counter your fire and lightning.” - JN. “Kakashi chose wisely who to send.” -Sasuke. “She hasn’t told you has she” - Kiba. “Kakashi-sama is dead” - Shino. As soon as he heard, Sasuke turned his head towards Sakura for acknowledgement. But Sakura wasn’t there, in the confusion, MN took her away. “That was fast, too fast for a medic.” thought Sasuke. “Something is up.” “Enough games.” Sasuke activated his Sharingan and the Konoha team got ready to fight. “EEENNOOOOOOOUUUGH!!!!” screamed Sakura, with tears in her eyes. “Go back to Naruto and tell him to butt out!!! ” “Naruto, did I hear right.” pondered Sasuke. “Sorry, that‘s not for you to decide.” - Kiba. “Our mission, is to . . .” - Shino. “Abort Mission” - JN. “Nani? But …..why?” - Kiba. “She made up her mind.” - MN. “If she wants to stay, we can’t change her mind.” - JN. “So, then what?” - Kiba. “She stays hear, with him. She is obviously well protected, that’s all that matter .” “Why are you doing this?” asked Sasuke, confused out of his mind. “Isn‘t that a call the Hokage has to make?” - Sasuke. “And who said he isn‘t making it?” Kiba said with a smirk on his face. After both bushins converted back to there original forms, one dismissed himself, to let Naruto know what’s going on. “Huh, …” Sasuke still confused. Naruto’s bushin explained it all to Sasuke, and extended his invitation to return to Konoha. Sasuke refused and with Sakura decided to stay in the Land of River, to start their new life. “Well, there goes our perfect record.” implied Kiba. “Don‘t worry, no one has to know” answered Naruto Bushin. Years later, Sasuke and Naruto signed documents that made the River Country and the Fire Country sister countries. This eliminated the ‘missin-nin’ status places upon Sasuke and Sakura, and the building of a new Uchiha Military Academy, were any one from either Konoha, or Suna for that matter, can join. Since, Sakura was not living in Konoha anymore, Shizune took her place in charged of the Medic Academy. (there I hope I covered everything.) —————————————————————————————— Zep: Well, that two down
