Shikotsumayaku ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Description: Shikotsumyaku
was a bloodline ability that
gave the user the ability to manipulate his own skeletal structure, but
only
manifested itself in few members of the Kaguya clan.
The Kaguya clan was a small shinobi group
which craved for battles and the thrill of killing.
When they took on the professional shinobi
army of the Hidden Mist, they entire clan was wiped out in one night. Only Kimimaro Kaguya, a
young boy who
possessed the Shikotsumyaku ability, managed to survive and escape. No one other than Kimimaro
is known to have
this ability, and with his death during a battle against Gaara and Rock
Lee, it
is believed that the Shikotsumayaku kekkei genkai is extinct. The
Shikotsumayaku allowed Kimimaro to
manipulate and grow the bones in his body at will.
It is a powerful ability which allowed him to
rapidly grow existing bones, completely regenerate lost ones, and also
to
create new bones in any shape he desired.
By increasing the bone density, Kimimaro could make
them as strong as
steel. It is
thought that the
Shikotsumayaku is really a form of a highly accelerated healing ability
because
Kimimaro was also able to rapidly heal the tears in his skin made by
protruding
bones. Kimimaro
can use his bones as various forms
of weapons; he may fire his fingertip bones as projectiles, use his
very own
spinal column as a sword, and cause sharp bones to burst out from
almost
anywhere from his body to catch an opponent by surprise. Kimimaro’s
kekkei genkai made him a natural
melee fighter, and he excelled in a highly agile taijutsu style which
consisted
of various ‘dances.’ Some of Kimimaro’s
more advanced abilities include
spreading his bone mass across his entire body to withstand heavy
physical
damage, and more incredibly, covering an entire area with an eruption
of jagged
bone protrusions from below. See
Kimimaro
Kaguya for more information
on the character. |
