Naruto Character Popularity Poll
Weekly Shounen Jump, the Japanese magazine which serializes the Naruto manga, hosts a character popularity poll each year to gauge which Naruto characters are the most popular. Surprisingly, despite being the title character, Naruto is not always ranked #1. The popularity trends are always changing, often reflecting the importance of certain characters in the manga story arcs for that year. Here are the manga scans and results of past popularity polls:
After seeing those polls, I felted the urge to start my own little character popularity poll. However, this poll will never end and will continually change as more people vote. The rules are simple: - Each visitor gets 1 vote, but you can vote again in one week or 168 hours - Because the list of characters is so large, a quick way to find your favorite in the poll is to press Ctrl+F (Firefox and IE). This will bring up a search box where you can type in the character's name and it will locate it on this page for you. - You may vote for any character you want as long as he/she/it appears in the Naruto universe (this includes, anime, manga, OAVs and movies) - If your character is not listed here, please send a comment Changes and New Additions: Aug 29/07 Minato Namikaze (Fourth Hokage) Aug 29/07 Kushina Uzumaki (Naruto's mother) Aug 30/07 Konan (female Akatsuki member) Sep 01/07 Gamabunta, Kyuubi, Shukaku, Pakkun, Gamakichi, Gamatatsu, Manda, Katsuyu (all are summoned creatures or tailed beasts) Sep 30/07 Madara Uchiha (treat as a separate personality of Tobi or the original Madara who fought the First Hokage) Sep 30/07 Obito Uchiha (treat as original Obito in Kakashi Gaiden, not Tobi if that is indeed who he is in the present) Oct 07/07 Fuuma Kagero added (anime filler character)
