Kin is the only female member of the Sound Genin team that enters the Chuunin Exam. She throws needles with special bells attached in combat. The needles do not need to hit the opponent, but only to land near enough so that the frequency of the bell rings can affect the opponent’s eardrums. When successful, this creates a genjutsu-like effect where opponent starts losing motor functions and is unable to focus his/her vision.

Similar to her teammates, Kin likely had a miserable childhood. Because of this, she is jealous of other kunoichi who have lived a better life than her – demonstrated when she picks on Sakura for having the time to maintain her hair while training to be a shinobi. Depsite being teammates, neither Dosu nor Zaku appear to care much for her wellbeing as they indisciminately attack her while her body was taken over by Ino’s Mind Body Transfter jutsu. She is sacrificed, along with Zaku, by Orochimaru to perform his forbidden jutsu to ressurect the First and Second Hokages.
