Homura Mitokado is a member of the Konoha Elder Council. He was a former teammate of the Third Hokage along with Koharu Utatane, and studied under the First and Second Hokages. Homura and the rest of the council rose in importance after Orochimaru's attack on Konoha and the subsequent death of the Third. Unlike the Third Hokage and his successor, Tsunade, Homura and Koharu both believe that Naruto is too important a target to be allowed on missions. They fear for the consequences if Akatsuki were to capture Naruto and gain control over the Kyuubi. |
